CT DRS Announces Requirement for CT Businesses Starting May 2020

The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) announced on its website on January 13, 2020 that it is transitioning to a new online portal, myconneCT, for filing and paying various taxes. The new online portal is one part of a DRS modernization project, which will take place in multiple phases over the next four years.

Beginning in May 2020, businesses and bulk filers will be required to use myconneCT to file and pay the following taxes: sales and use tax (business use), withholding tax, room occupancy tax, tourism surcharge, rental surcharge, prepaid wireless E-911 fee, admissions and dues tax, and dry cleaning surcharge. All other types of taxes filed and paid online, will continue to use the Taxpayer Service Center.
