Borgida & Company, P.C. is pleased to announce our transition to Murphy and Company CPA, LLC which officially took place on February 1, 2024. On that date our combined firm began conducting its practice as Murphy & Company CPA, LLC.
Borgida & Company, P.C. began its professional practice in 1966. Its growth over that span of time has been attributed to both accounting practice acquisitions and from the referrals of our client base and those of other professionals. The growth and development of our professional staff has evolved in a similar manner. We have attracted high-quality, committed professionals and invested in their training, development, and growth. As a result of those efforts, we have experienced significant growth over the past several years. This has been related to the success that our clients have had in their business and personal pursuits.
We decided to seek an affiliation because we believe that a larger organization will allow us to provide a wider array of services and more depth.
Murphy & Company CPA, LLC shares the same values we do. We conducted an extensive search within our region looking for an opportunity like this. Murphy & Company CPA, LLC exceeded our hopes for a firm we can integrate with and continue the tradition we have for excellent service, profound expertise, and an environment that our clients and associates want to be a part of.
There are many new services and areas of expertise that we will be able to provide to you in the future. We look forward to discussing those in more depth with you. However, there are several things we want to point out that will not change:
- You will continue to work with the same people in our firm that you have in the past. All of our people are being retained in their current roles. Tom, Peter and Aaron will continue to work and service their clients in conjunction with the new entity.
- Our fee structure will be consistent with our past practices.
- The services we have provided to you in the past will continue.
We will continue to operate from our current offices in Manchester, Storrs and Niantic. All the contact information for us will remain the same for the immediate future.

Please be advised as a result of this transition that the accounting, tax consulting and all other services previously performed by Borgida & Company, P.C. will be suspended as of the date of this letter. The new service provider going forward from the date of this letter will now be Murphy & Company CPA, LLC. We ask that by signing and returning the engagement letter to us, you agree to the transfer of your file and other records to Murphy & Company CPA, LLC.
If you do not choose to have us transfer your files to Murphy &Company CPA, LLC, you must notify us within 90 days of receipt of this letter. Failure to do so will be considered acceptance of the terms for the transfer of your files.
We are grateful to you not only for giving us the opportunity to provide you with accounting services, but for your loyalty and friendship which has enriched our relationship. We are confident that our new affiliation will serve us all well.
