Hurricane Irene hit the eastern coastline hard this past weekend. In the south, Irene was originally designated as a "Category 3" hurricane. The highest rating and most violent is a Category 5. The Internal Revenue Service has announced that some taxpayers will not be able to file their returns until mid to late February 2011 due to last year's tax changes. The IRS will need to reprogram its processing systems for three provisions that were extended in the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 that became law on December 17, 2010.
